Collection: Duffy

Quite clearly a talented young man with artistic flair, Brian Duffy happened upon the idea of becoming a photographer when he caught sight of some photographic contact sheets on the desk of a magazine Art Director in 1955.

Duffy’s works on David Bowie’s Aladdin Sane album cover have gone down in history as some of the most iconic photographs ever taken, with the rarity of these signed pieces no doubt adding to their appeal.

In 1979 Duffy famously decided to stop taking photographs and burnt his negatives.  Since 2007, hard work and dedication has led pieces of Duffy’s extensive archives to be salvaged and in 2012.
